Burning Permit Application

A burning permit application and fee of $25, payable to Penn Township, must be submitted to Penn Township for open burning on lots more than one acre but less than two acres. Open burning is not permitted on lots less than one acre. Building permit applications and fees are located on the Light-Heigel (township engineers) website. Building permit applications and payments should be mailed or dropped off at:

Zoning and Driveway permit applications

Zoning or Driveway Permit applications must be dropped off at the Penn Township municipal building at 840 North Garfield Road, Bernville, PA. Payment is due at the time of application and is payable to Penn Township.

Fee: $75.00 plus $3.00 for every $1,000.00 of construction.

Existing Driveway Fee: $75.00 plus $3.00 for every $1,000.00 of construction.

New Driveway Fee: $75.00 plus $3.00 for every $1,000.00 of construction plus $500.00 refundable escrow per the permit application.
