This notice is given pursuant to the Agricultural Area Security Law, Act 43 of 1981. The Board of Supervisors of Penn Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, has received a proposal for the addition of three (3) parcels to the existing Penn Township Agricultural Security Area: (1) parcel owned by Steven J. & Nancy L. Valeriano, PIN 69437901483487, consisting of 41.38 acres located at 310 Fisher Mill Stream Road, Bernville, Penn Township, Berks County, PA 19506; (2) parcel owned by Steven J. and Nancy L. Valeriano, PIN 69437901490012, consisting of 11.79 acres located at Davis Bridge Road, Bernville, Penn Township, Berks County, PA 19506; and (3) parcel owned by Steven J. and Nancy L. Valeriano, PIN 69437902582031, consisting of 12.47 acres located at 183 Fisher Mill Stream Road, Bernville, Penn Township, Berks County, PA 19506. The aforementioned proposal is currently on file and available for public inspection and copying at the Penn Township Building, Penn Township, 840 North Garfield Road, Bernville, Berks County, PA 19506 during regular office hours. The Township will continue to accept proposals for additions of parcels to the existing Penn Township Agricultural Security Area until April 16, 2026. Any affected Municipality and any landowners who own land which is within, adjacent or near to the area proposed to be included in the agricultural security area may propose changes or objections to the proposed agricultural security area within fifteen (15) days of the date this Notice is published. Such changes or objections must be submitted to the Penn Township Board of Supervisors and the Penn Township Planning Commission at Penn Township’s office on or before April 16, 2026. Upon expiration of the aforementioned fifteen (15) day period, any proposals, changes or objections will be submitted to Penn Township’s Planning Commission and Agricultural Area Advisory Committee for review. Thereafter, a public hearing will be held by the Township Supervisors to consider the proposal, proposed modifications and recommendations of the Planning Commission and the Advisory Committee for adoption of land to be included in the Agricultural Security Area.
